Global Templates
Global Templates
Section titled “Global Templates”Global templates help admins standardize classification settings across spaces.
They are useful when an organization wants consistent classification levels, visual styles and permission guidance.
When to use global templates
Section titled “When to use global templates”Use a global template when:
- Multiple spaces should share the same classification model.
- Admins want consistent names and descriptions.
- New spaces should start from an approved classification setup.
- Governance teams need reusable configuration.
TODO: Confirm product behavior. Confirm whether spaces inherit global template updates automatically or copy template values at setup time.

Relationship with space configuration
Section titled “Relationship with space configuration”A global template provides a reusable starting point. Space configuration can support local needs when a space requires different guidance or a different level set.
TODO: Confirm product behavior. Confirm whether space admins can override all template fields or only selected fields.
Example
Section titled “Example”A Confluence admin creates a global template with Pending Classification, Internal, Confidential and Restricted. New regulated spaces can start from the template instead of rebuilding the same levels manually.
