Space-Level Configuration

Space-level configuration lets a space use classification settings that match its local governance needs.

For example, a Finance space may need stricter levels and guidance than a general internal knowledge base.

Use space configuration when:

  • A space has specific sensitivity requirements.
  • A team needs a smaller set of classification levels.
  • A space should use different visual styles from the global default.
  • A space admin needs guidance that matches local processes.

TODO: Confirm product behavior. Confirm which settings can be changed at space level and which settings must come from a global template.

A Finance space uses Internal, Confidential and Restricted. The guidance for Restricted reminds editors to check whether access is limited to approved finance users.

Keep space-level configuration aligned with global governance. Different spaces can have different needs, but the meaning of each classification level should remain clear.
